Roan is the Fae King. The Night Court is his realm. And slowly she comes to realise its her realm too. But true love means freedom to choose. And Roan allows her to leave through love. According to the show, the Night King was created by the Children of the Forest, in effort to combat the First Men. The Night King obviously turns on the Children, forcing them into an Alliance with the First Men. Bran is the 3 Eyed Raven, in both past and present. He is the skeleton in the roots, in the book. There could be multiple as the winter has marched south many times in past and was pushed backwards by humans and the COTF, besides the particular night king shown in the cave art of dragon stone ( Of Game of thrones) had beard but the night king of the show didn't. I'm not completely on boards with this theory but it's not entirely unlikely.
