Investigate the Gun Misfire. Misfires are not that uncommon. However, misfires due to a defective primer are rare. So when you have a misfire, don't strike the primer twice (for examination purposes), but do investigate and fix the problem so it does not reoccur at a very bad time. Do not just chalk it up to a "bad round" and move on. That sounds like an easy enough diagnosis, but other cylinder misfire causes are due to incorrect ignition timing, vacuum leaks, or valve spring wear. If your engine is misfiring, it's best to find the problem and fix it as soon as possible. Misfires reduce gas mileage and increase emissions, which can cause you to fail an emissions test.
In this video, I show you how to quickly and easily fix a misfiring engine caused by a faulty ignition coil pack. If you're experiencing a rough idle or poor
I would 1st have all the plugs changed. If the new plugs cured the problem, I would change the oil/filter and get an oil analysis to determine if there is any long term damage from the Troll gas station. If it still misfires after new plugs, you'll next to bench test each injector and test the coils.
1. Engine Management Light on Dash. This doesn’t really tell you anything, except that there is a problem with the engine. A faulty injector will cause the engine to misfire, and this will trigger the engine management light. You will need to investigate further to narrow down the cause of the misfire. 2. Car won’t start easily (or at all)
